School Schedule

A Foundation for Their Dreams
Learning with purpose, every day.

A schedule that grows with your child

At Acton Academy Calgary Central, our daily rhythm is built to do more than “fit in” lessons, it’s designed to unlock ownership, curiosity, and confidence at every stage.

Each day blends self-paced mastery in reading, writing, and math with hands-on Quests that bring learning to life. Learners set SMART goals, track their progress, and dive into Socratic discussions that sharpen critical thinking. Over the week, they work across ages, mentoring younger peers, collaborating with older ones, and tackling real-world challenges. Across the year, seasonal projects, exhibitions, and community adventures connect their growth to the world beyond our walls.

Whether your child is just starting school, ready for greater challenge, or seeking a place where they can truly belong, our schedule meets them where they are, and grows with them.

School Schedule

Wonder Studio

In Wonder Studio, every moment is intentional — from the way we start the day to how we close it with gratitude.

Mornings begin with connection, then launch into Socratic discussions that spark curiosity and critical thinking. Learners flow into hands-on Montessori work, building literacy, math, and practical life skills at their own pace. Midday, they refuel with snack and outdoor play before diving into themed storytelling, science explorations, or arts.

After lunch and gym, quiet time offers space to recharge — followed by afternoons of outdoor adventure, collaboration, and movement. Each day ends with reflection, celebrating progress and gratitude before heading home or into optional after-school enrichment.

It’s more than a schedule — it’s a rhythm that helps young learners grow in confidence, creativity, and community.

School Schedule

Elementary Studios

In our Elementary Studios, learners don’t just “go through the day” — they own it.

Mornings begin with connection, reflections, and goal-setting before moving into Core Skills time, where reading, writing, math, and civilization studies unfold at each learner’s own pace. After refueling with outdoor activity, PE, or the arts, they dive into afternoon Quests — hands-on projects in science, coding, entrepreneurship, history, art, and more. These real-world challenges bring academic skills to life through teamwork and problem-solving.

Midweek, learning expands beyond our walls with field trips and outdoor education experiences, building confidence and curiosity in new settings. The day closes with Socratic reflections, where learners consider what they’ve achieved, where they’ve grown, and how they’ll tackle tomorrow.

It’s a rhythm that blends focus, creativity, and adventure — helping learners grow into confident, self-directed leaders.
